Website Design Process – Your Role
Your role in the Web Design Process – what to expect if Saucy Hot Design is designing your website.
Your role in your website design
If you are getting a website designed by Saucy Hot Design, you may need to provide us with:
- Your logo (plus guidelines and colourways for your branding if you have them)
- Photos or images you want to use (or we can source stock imagery)
- Graphics you want to use
- Examples of other branded items you already have: Brochures, Business Cards, Letterhead etc. so we can get an idea of any design style that is already established or important to your brand.
- Any colours you like / dislike
- A list of any sites you like / dislike
- Text content – what you want to say on each page. (For example, most sites have common pages such as Home, About, Products / Services, Contact.)
- The ftp address, user name and password, so we can have access to your existing site and/or hosting account.
(Please let us know if you require us to register your domain name and / or arrange hosting for a new website, which we can arrange for you.)
File Formats
Images or Graphics
Any logos, pictures, photos or graphics may be received in these formats: PDF, Photoshop files, Illustrator files, eps, tiff, jpg or png.
Please contact us if you are unsure.
As a general rule the higher quality file you can send us the better. Even though any graphics or images will end up at a low quality for the web, it is useful to supply us with high resolution files if you do have them in order for us to get the best results.
Text files
The text for you site can be emailed to us in a word document, raw text format, or direct in an email.
Please contact us if you are unsure.
You can either burn files onto a USB, upload to somewhere like dropbox and email us the link, or you could email them to us directly if not too large/many.
* Please note: Only send files under 10mb via email.
Alternatively send us a hard copy of your business cards, letterhead, photos etc. if you don’t have them on file (at a reasonable quality) and we can reference them / scan them in.
For more information please contact us.
